Simon Cowell has lost a significant amount of weight in recent years and it seems the Britain's Got Talent judge is only getting trimmer as time goes on.
The TV personality, who is known for his blunt comments on his US and UK talent shows, is reported to have lost an incredible four stone after cutting out four foods from his diet following a health scare.
The 63-year-old shocked fans last year when he showed off his trimmed down figure in a family holiday snap after he made some crucial changes advised to him by his doctor in order to turn his unhealthy lifestyle around.
But he seems to have kept his impressive new way of life up as he is currently filming on the 16th season of BGT and looks slimmer than ever.
Here we take a closer look at what Cowell did to achieve his weight loss transformation, how much he has lost and how he is still managing to keep it off.
How much weight has Simon lost?
After making a change to his diet in 2017 following a health scare, Simon has lost around four stone and completely changed his eating habits.
His dramatic lifestyle change was brought about by an incident in which he fell down the stairs and had to be hospitalised due to his low blood sugar.
He previously spoke to the Sun during an interview where he admitted that his previous terrible diet had shocked doctors.
The star confessed: "He did my blood work and pee and all the rest of it, and a month later the results came in and his words were, 'You have the worst diet out of all the clients I have ever seen in my life — you have a schoolboy's diet from the 1960s.'
Cowell also explained that he used to frequently treat himself to rich luxurious dishes made by his personal chefs.
It's now been reported that Simon has dropped four waist sizes after taking onboard the health advice given to him by a private doctor in Harley Street, London.
How did he lose weight?
The father-of-one completely revamped his diet to shed the pounds and keep his health up. For Cowell, this personally involved cutting out four key food groups - gluten and bread, red meat, dairy and sugar.
It was reported in 2019 that Simon lost his first 20 pounds by taking up a near-fully vegan diet.
The Express reported that the talent judge now sticks to eating just white meats like chicken and turkey and makes sure he eats a lot of salad and vegetables.
Simon tends to avoid red meats like lamb, beef and pork because they are known to be higher in saturated fats.
In terms of a typical day, Simon starts his mornings with a green smoothie and no-sugar Alpen and for lunch he tucks into soup and some grilled tomatoes.
He also previously admitted to the Sun that if he is going out for dinner and knows he will not eat anything on the menu, he fixes himself up some baked beans on toast before they leave and doesn't have a meal in the restaurant.
The TV personality has also credited drinking plenty of water as a part of his dramatic weight loss.
Exercise
As well as transforming his diet, Simon has also incorporated more exercise into his lifestyle.
The 63-year-old is believed to be a big fan of cycling and has a total of 15 bikes in his huge home, according to the Express.
Speaking of how he likes to keep fit on the bike, Cowell said: "I was out on my bike as my exercise. I did ten or 11 miles every day.
"Even though it's an electric bike I'd have it switched off until I needed it. It's the best way to exercise because it's fun.
"It's a combination of all that stuff. It gives you energy and makes you feel better."
However, the star unfortunately suffered a terrible accident in 2020 which nearly left him paralysed after he fell off his electric bike in his home and broke his back.
He has now fully recovered but the Daily Mail reports that he is still wearing a medical corset which may also have contributed to his slimmed down figure.
Cowell now reportedly walks a lot more and travels around 40 miles per week on foot.
He has previously slammed reports that rumoured he had underwent a gastric band in order to achieve his new slimmed down physique as he told the Sun: "No, I haven't had a gastric band! Wouldn't there be scars?"
The judge insists he shed all the pounds naturally through his hard work and determination but he hasn't had to give up everything in order to change his lifestyle.
Despite cutting out all the fatty food and increasing his movement, Simon still smokes and drinks after admitting he was initially worried he would struggle to completely cut out the booze.
However, the TV star has found a healthy balance and still treats himself to a drink or two as he claims he has found the diet shift pretty "easy" to adapt to.
