Actress Cheryl Fergison is looking slimmer than ever as the former Eastenders star revealed a childhood hobby is helping her shift the pounds.
Taking up roller skating for the first time since she was a teen, Cheryl, who played Heather Trott on the BBC soap from 2005 to 2016, explained the hobby is both fun and cheap to take part in.
The Eastenders star explained that the activity is helping her shift the pounds as she continues on her weight loss journey. The well-loved Walford actress posed outside a rink in a black t-shirt and black and white leggings are she showed off her slimmer figure to her fans and followers.
The new hobby has seen Cheryl take a trip back to her childhood, picking up skates for the first time in a few decades in order to get fit and healthy.
Posting the smiley snap on, Cheryl wrote: "Not been on Roller Skates since I was about 13 years old.
"I wasn’t a bad skater from 7-13 but then never went again until today … the fear of falling now is real.
And the fun activity didn't cost her must either, as explained it cost jut £7 in total to take part in the "work out".
In the social media post the actress said: "...the fun and exercise is a real feel good factor and so cheap too £5 to Skate and £2 roller boot hire … blooming bargain and such family fun too."
Roller skating can be a great form of exercise helping to improve your strength, balance, core stability, and cardiovascular endurance, according to HealthLine.
Thirty minutes of roller skating will burn 267 calories on average, with skilled skaters maintaining a vigorous pace potential burning even more.
The exercise also works a whole range of muscles from your glutes to your quads and calves.
And let's face it, it can be a lot more fun than regular cardio or working out in the gym!
