It's one of Paisley's finest buildings and yet much of it has been lying in a ruinous state for the best part of 40 years.
Now one urban explorer has gained access into the Victorian landmark and revealed the crumbling state of its interior.
Earlier this month YouTuber Cee-T-V ventured inside the main building of the old Royal Alexandra Infirmary (RAI) to capture footage of its sad condition.

"Left to rot since 1987 this beautiful old Victorian architecture is in appalling condition inside," they wrote.
The ground floor of the old hospital is mostly boarded up, but the YouTuber was able to gain access inside with ease through a gate and an open door up a short of flight to the rear of the graffiti-covered building.
While the east wing of the town's old RAI was converted into housing after the institution's closure in 1987, but the rest of the building has been slowly rotting away.
Cee-T-V takes us on a tour through the decrepit building's darkened and decaying corridors and wards, which have suffered from vandalism over the decades. The urban explorer takes us up the main staircase to the upper floors of the hospital, even trying the button the elevator, which, rather unsurprisingly, is out of order.

The footage is as creepy as it is fascinating. If walls could talk, the abandoned building would surely be a cacophony of noise, but Cee-T-V's film is notable for its eerie silence.
Established in 1897, the hospital was named after Queen Alexandra, the wife of King Edward VII, who was renowned for her charitable work and her support for the medical profession in Great Britain.
In its early days, the Royal Alexandra Infirmary was a general hospital, providing a range of medical services to the local community. Over time, the hospital would expand its services to become a renowned centre for orthopaedics and traumatology. It also developed a reputation for excellence in the treatment of tuberculosis.
The infirmary played a vital role during the Second World War in the care of wounded soldiers and was also used as a training centre for medical personnel serving in the armed forces.
The New Royal Alexandra Hospital opened in 1986, with the old building abandoned shortly after.
