Innocent relatives of Finglas mob boss Mr Flashy have returned back to their home just weeks after it was gutted in a petrol bomb feud attack.
The Irish Mirror has learned how the gangster's relations, who have no involvement in crime, moved back into the house in recent days.
The property was targeted by associates of slain James Whelan, who was shot dead on April 3 in retaliation for the targeting of his mother's home while she was inside on the night of May 21.
A source said: "Flashy's relatives had left the house after the attack but they are back in it now in the last few days. But that incident, along with the one targeting James Whelan's mother, is very dangerous territory.
"These are innocent people being caught up in this feud through no fault of their own."
Pals of 'Whela' pinpointed blame for the attack on his mum's home on a Kinahan cartel associate, who they believe was hired by Flashy's mob.
We have learned that this man from the capital - who has close links to jailed cartel cronies Jonathan Keogh and Mohammed Smew - has gone to ground over fears he will be targeted.
Gardai are also on high alert as one of Mr Flashy's main enemies has been released from prison. The young man, aged in his early 20s, was pals with Whelan and was previously plotting against Flashy's "Gucci Gang".
The thug is a close associate of whacked David "Fred" Lynch, who was shot dead by gangster Robbie Lawlor in 2009. Lawlor later was killed in 2020 as part of the Drogheda feud.
Another source said: "There's trouble brewing with this individual all of the time. He has been involved in various incidents in Finglas and Coolock in recent years.
"He is a volatile character who has a number of other young men backing him. So the fear is there that he may look for revenge over the murder of Whelan."
The feud has seen over 70 attacks so far including a number of beatings, shootings, a grenade attack and the murder of Whelan.
Gardai have launched a number of operations against the warring thugs in a bid to curb the violence, and recently seized a deadly firearm from Flashy's gang last month.
