Injury Report: Warriors’ Andre Iguodala (back tightness) ruled out through All-Star break

Andre Iguodala has missed 11 of the Golden State Warriors’ last 12 games due to back soreness. As the Warriors approach the All-Star break, the veteran will continue to miss time.

Before the Warriors met the Los Angeles Clippers in Hollywood, Steve Kerr announced Iguodala’s injury absence would extend through the All-Star break this weekend.

After playing the Clippers on Monday, the Warriors host the Denver Nuggets at San Francisco’s Chase Center on Wednesday before the break.

Prior to Monday’s matchup in Los Angeles, Iguodala joined the Warriors on the floor for the morning shootaround period.

In 26 games, Iguodala is averaging 4.1 points on 39.2% shooting from the field with 3.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 19.9 minutes per contest.

With Iguodala slated to miss at least two more games, Warriors rookie Jonathan Kuminga could continue to receive increased minutes. With Kuminga starting, Otto Porter Jr. could play Iguodala’s role off the bench in Kerr’s second unit.

The Warriors will tip-off against the Clippers at 7:30 p.m. PT on Monday at Staples Center.
