A 45-year-old man has been hospitalised following an incident on Causeyside Street.
There were reports of a fracas occurring on the street on Tuesday night with rumours circulating that a man had been stabbed and had lost a lot of blood.
The Paisley Daily Express has learnt that this was not the case, but that the man did suffer serious injuries.

A number of police cars were seen in the area as a result of the incident, with the Scottish Ambulance Service in attendance too to transport the man to the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
Police are currently investigating what happened to find out how the man came to be injured.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.10 pm on Tuesday, 26 July, 2022, a 45-year-old man was found injured on Causeyside Street, Paisley. He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment. No detail on injury.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances.”
