Ingrid Andress, a 32-year-old singer, has decided to take a break from touring following the aftermath of her national anthem performance. She has canceled several concert dates and announced that she will be entering rehab. A representative for Andress confirmed that her upcoming shows in Nashville and Denver have been canceled, with the venues reaching out to ticket buyers for refunds.
Andress was scheduled to perform in Nashville on July 17 and in Denver on July 24. Currently, her website only lists one upcoming show on October 4 in Ocean City, Maryland. Prior to her now-viral rendition of the national anthem at the 2024 MLB Home Run Derby in Arlington, Texas, Andress had posted about her Tennessee and Colorado concerts.
Her performance of the national anthem received mixed reviews on social media, with some comparing it to Fergie's rendition at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game. Following the backlash, Andress took to Instagram to explain that she had been under the influence during the performance and was checking herself into a facility for help.
Despite receiving support from fans and celebrities like comedian Roseanne Barr, Andress faced criticism from New York Mets announcer Howie Rose for his insensitive remarks about her rehab announcement. Rose's comments were met with disapproval from fans, with one describing it as a 'disgraceful response.'
