Influencer dies after downing strong alcohol during livestream challenge

An influencer has died after downing an excessive amount of strong alcoholic spirits on a livestream, state-run media in China reports.

Content creator Sanqiangeor - known as Brother Three Thousand - filmed himself on the Chinese version of TikTok, Douyin, taking part in a contest with another influencer.

The 34-year-old, whose real name is Wang Moufeng, live streamed the challenge on May 16 and was reportedly found dead 12 hours later.
