In an official statement, the maritime regulator confirmed that four separate incidents involving Indian crew members had been reported in the region. “There have been four reported incidents involving Indian seafarers in the region, resulting in three casualties and one injured seafarer, all of whom were serving on board foreign-flagged vessels,” the DGS said, according to PTI.
The incidents come against the backdrop of intensifying hostilities involving the United States, Israel and Iran. American and Israeli airstrikes have reportedly continued to hit targets in Iran following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, on Saturday.
