Indian Motorcycle's CEO Calls Out Harley-Davidson For Leaving King of the Baggers. He's Not Wrong

There have now been a lot of words concerning Harley-Davidson's decision to leave the King of the Baggers race series, a race it helped found. But now we have Harley-Davidson's main competitor's head honcho, Indian Motorcycle's CEO Mike Kennedy, weighing in on the Motor Co.'s decision to leave, and it leaves little for interpretation as to how he feels about the situation.

"We are disappointed that Harley-Davidson would quit American bagger racing and walk away from something that has unified so many American V-twin riders regardless of which brand of motorcycle they ride," starts Kennedy, who's known for being quite outspoken in his beliefs. He adds, "Rivalry, and the inherent possibility of losing, is what makes competition truly meaningful and what drives brands to rise up, innovate and prevail. Ultimately, it’s our industry and American V-twin riders that benefit most from this."
