India to play day-night practice match on Australia tour ahead of pink-ball Test

The Indian cricket team will play a day-night tour match against the Prime Minister's XI on their upcoming tour of Australia, said a Cricket Australia press release on Friday. The match will take place between the first Test and the day-night second Test of the highly anticipated five-match series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy later this year.

The series, which commences on November 22 in Perth, marks a significant milestone as it will be the first time since the 1991-92 season that these two cricketing giants will compete in a five-Test series.
