'India is very convenient': UK tourist says Blinkit helped her after she forgot to pack an outfit

A Welsh travel creator’s attempt to order a last-minute Holi outfit in India has turned into a viral internet moment — partly because of the delivery speed, and partly because of her genuinely stunned reaction to it.

Kara Wildbur, a full-time travel creator from North Wales, shared a video documenting how she used Blinkit to order clothes on the morning of Holi after realising she had nothing suitable to wear for the festival.

And what happened next left her speechless.

“India might just have some of the most convenient apps we've ever experienced,” she said in the video.

She explained that she had downloaded the quick-commerce app after previously witnessing something she could barely believe while travelling in Agra: hotel guests casually ordering an entire suitcase online and receiving it at their hotel within minutes.

So when she woke up on Holi morning without festival-friendly clothes, she decided to try the app herself.

How fast was her Blinkit delivery?

According to the video, Kara ordered a T-shirt and trousers through Blinkit, expecting the items to arrive in under ten minutes.

What surprised her most was how quickly the order status changed.

Within moments, the app reportedly moved from “packing” to “on its way,” before she received a phone call saying part of her order had already arrived.

At one point in the video, she appeared visibly shocked while holding up the delivered T-shirt, repeatedly commenting on how fast — and inexpensive — the entire process was.

The second item took slightly longer after the delivery partner struggled to locate her hotel due to communication issues and location confusion.

Kara showed herself trying to coordinate through Google Maps while hotel security staff and a nearby guard stepped in to help bridge the language gap.

Despite the confusion, the complete order still arrived in roughly ten minutes.

Just 20 minutes after realising she had nothing to wear, she was dressed and “ready for Holi.”
