BHUBANESWAR: Carles Cuadrat has hailed from a system, nourished and flourished at the Cantera Barcelonista, the Spanish city's famed football academy, which embodies a liberal sprinkling of fantasy in world football.
But Cuadrat's approach to the game as a coach is hardly a reflection of what he had seen and learnt at his home town. Perhaps being a defender during his unfulfilled playing career, he has remained a devotee of pragmatism, an advocate of 1-0 win type who wants his players to be forceful and not fantasy-driven in carrying home the objective.
