The Illicit Cargo Camo Event is one of the biggest free events in Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 4, bringing back several fan-favorite camos from Black Ops 3. You can earn a total of nine weapon camos, including animated Mastery camos and the iconic Cherry Fizz camo, along with the new VX Compact assault rifle and XP bonuses.

Each weapon class has its own challenge. Completing a challenge rewards a static camo and 2,500 XP. Finishing all weapon-class challenges in a mode unlocks that mode’s animated Mastery camo and an additional 10,000 XP.

How to unlock the VX Compact from Illicit Cargo Camo Event
The VX Compact assault rifle is much easier to obtain than Cherry Fizz. To unlock the weapon, simply complete nine total event challenges across any combination of modes. You do not need to finish every challenge or earn every Mastery camo.

How to unlock rewards fast in Illicit Cargo Camo Event
In BO7 Multiplayer, I would suggest focusing on objective-based playlists such as Domination and Hardpoint. These modes naturally help with Objective Kills, headshots, and weapon-specific eliminations while keeping matches fast-paced.
For Zombies, prioritize Pack-a-Punch upgrades early and train large groups of enemies. LMG Carnage Medals, sniper eliminations, and Critical Kill challenges can be completed simultaneously if you have your loadouts maximized. In Endgame, spend most of your time in higher-threat zones where Special, Elite, Fear, and Zone 3 enemies spawn more frequently. This speeds up progress compared to farming low-level areas.
Warzone players should prioritize Casual and Resurgence modes. The presence of bots and increased respawn opportunities make challenges such as SMG kills, Longshot Kills, and Top 20 sniper eliminations far less punishing than in standard Battle Royale matches.
BO7 Illicit Cargo Camo Event start and end date
The Illicit Cargo Camo Event starts on June 11 at 12pm CT / 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST and ends on June 25 at the same time. That means you have two weeks to complete the challenges.
How does the Illicit Cargo Camo Event work in BO7 and Warzone
The Illicit Cargo Camo Event follows a structure similar to the Escalation Directive event from BO7 and Warzone Season 2. Instead of earning XP or collecting event tokens, you have to complete specific weapon-class challenges in each mode.
Every completed challenge unlocks a themed camo and XP reward. Finishing all weapon-class challenges in a mode grants an animated Mastery camo, while completing every mode’s challenge set unlocks the iconic Cherry Fizz camo.
