‘If Telangana wants Somesh Kumar, why should Centre be upset?’

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government on Thursday told the high court that it wanted to retain chief secretary Somesh Kumar while pointing out that AP too has no objection and, hence, the state claimed that there was no reason for the Centre to nurture any grievance.

“The central government is the allocating authority for All India Service (AIS) cadre, but it has the responsibility of consulting states in such matters,” advocate general BS Prasad told a bench of Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice S Nanda.
