'If Man City get him' - Former Liverpool star 'cannot believe' Declan Rice transfer stance

Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock has urged the Reds to move for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.

The England international will leave the Europa Conference League champions this summer, and was the subject of a rejected bid from Arsenal on Thursday. Reports claim the Hammers were ‘unimpressed’ by the initial offer, while they are also said to be anticipating Man City to make a move for the 24-year-old.

Liverpool are in the process of revamping their own midfield this summer, having already signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton with another engine-room signing, if not two, expected this summer.

And ruing the possibility of Man City signing Rice, Warnock admitted that he couldn’t believe that his former side weren’t in for the midfielder.
