Idukki: Two more held in gang rape case

IDUKKI: Police on Saturday arrested two more persons in connection with the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl from West Bengal. Six-people, including two minors, were arrested on Tuesday for raping the girl in Poopara under Santanpara police station limit last Sunday.

“We have slapped Pocso charges against MP natives Maheshkumar Yadav (25) and Hem Singh (25). They were arrested after the girl gave a statement against them,” said Munnar DSP KR Manoj.

(The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
