IDF Recovers Bodies Of Three Hostages In Northern Gaza

The bodies of three hostages have been recovered by the IDF during an operation in Northern Gaza. The IDF revealed that the bodies found were individuals who were killed on October 7th and then taken to the Gaza Strip. The bodies were uncovered overnight and underwent an identification process, with their families being notified today.

The three individuals have been identified as 42-year-old Hanan Yablanca from Tel Aviv, a father of two; 30-year-old Ryan Hernandez-Radu, a Mexican-French tourist who was at a music festival with his girlfriend, Shani Luke (whose body was found last week); and 59-year-old Mikkel Nissenbaum, an Israeli-Brazilian dual citizen and a father and grandfather.

Israel's president expressed the duty to bring everyone back, whether alive or missing, for burial in Israel. The bodies were found in Jabalia, a northern part of the Strip where the IDF recently increased ground operations. The IDF is also intensifying its offensive in the South while providing humanitarian relief throughout the Strip.

This week, aid shipments arrived through the U.S.'s new floating pier. However, news emerged that three U.S. service members were injured while working on a U.S. Navy cargo ship near the pier. Two of the injuries were minor, but one service member is in critical condition in an Israeli hospital. The injuries were reported as non-combat-related.
