The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed on Friday that a total of 250 Hezbollah terrorists, including nearly two dozen commanders, have been killed since the commencement of its limited ground operation in southern Lebanon.
According to IDF Arabic spokesperson Avichay Adraee, the operation has resulted in the elimination of approximately 250 terrorists through both land and air strikes. Over 2,000 military targets have been attacked, including terrorist elements, military structures, weapons depots, missile platforms, and other related facilities.
The IDF's operation successfully targeted terrorists entrenched in buildings and positions near the separation fence, preventing Hezbollah militants from approaching the fence and posing a threat to residents in northern Israel.
During the operation, IDF forces discovered warehouses containing combat equipment, prepared missile launchers, and explosive devices left behind by Hezbollah terrorists.
The IDF reported that among the eliminated Hezbollah terrorists are five battalion commanders, 10 company commanders, and six platoon commanders.
Additionally, the IDF confirmed the deaths of two soldiers during combat in northern Israel, with eight troops previously reported killed in fighting in southern Lebanon.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers, emphasizing the ongoing battle against Iran's 'axis of evil.' Netanyahu vowed to stand united and secure the safety of Israeli citizens, promising the return of hostages in the south and ensuring the eternal security of Israel.
