An Iceland worker who was fired for eating a Cadbury’s Twirl bar from a multipack on the shop floor has won £3,000 after she sued the supermarket.
Sharon Cassidy was fired after she was seen on CCTV eating the chocolate treat from a £1 pack of five without paying for it.
She said she believed the opened pack of Twirls belonged to another member of staff - and argued that colleagues often ate each other’s food.
