Confectionery lovers will be licking their lips in delight at the news that Iceland stores are now stocking an exclusive giant Cadbury Creme Egg dessert. The mammoth-sized version of the chocolatey cream egg, which was introduced to the British public in 1963, is on sale for £6, and at 400g is 10 times the size of the regular sweet product, the Scotsman reports.
The dessert consists of a giant chocolate shell, filled with a white chocolate mousse, with the classic yellow Creme Egg fondant in the centre and has hit the shops well before Easter, giving those with a sweet tooth ample time to stock up ahead of the holiday.
Iceland, along with sister store Food Warehouse, started selling the pudding on the weekend of March 4 and trading director Andrew Staniland explained: “This is the perfect sharing dessert that is guaranteed to wow, as families get back round the table together to celebrate Easter. Cadbury’s is an iconic brand and we know that our customers will absolutely love this exclusive range.”
