Iceland shopper furious at being hit with £170 fine after machine kept her £1

A fuming pensioner has told how she was slapped with a £170 parking fine on a shopping trip after the ticket machine swallowed her £1 coin.

Mary Jones, 72, told Iceland staff her money had been taken but had got no ticket in return and even left husband Mike in the car to explain their plight to any passing warden.
