There was chaos on a main road this morning after three vehicles crashed following icy conditions.
Police were called to Woodchurch Road in Prenton today, Tuesday, at around 7.50am following the crash. A video of the scene shows two police vehicles and multiple cars stopped at the side of the road, some with their hazards on.
Traffic management system Inrix said the crash happened between Prenton Hall Road and Prenton Dell Road. A spokesperson for Arriva North West said it was a "major incident" and the road was closed by officers.

Bus services were also diverted and traffic was moving slowly. One person said the road was an "ice sheet" heading down from Swan Hill towards the M53.
A spokesperson for Arriva North West said: "Due to a major incident, Woodchurch Road has been closed by police. Services 413/414/418/471/472 are currently diverted via Storeton Road, Noctorum Avenue and Upton Bypass to Arrowe Park Hospital before returning to normal route. Please allow extra time for your journey."
Merseyside Police confirmed the crash involved three vehicles and "injuries appear to be minor". The road has since reopened but traffic is said to be moving slowly and "some journeys may be subject to minor delays whilst they catch up from disruption", according to Arriva.
A yellow warning for snow and ice covering the whole of Merseyside has been issued, meaning wintry shower and icy stretches are likely to cause disruption across the region.
