ICC terminates Cricket Russia's membership

ICC Cricket Russia VVS Laxman Birmingham New Delhi

NEW DELHI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has terminated Cricket Russia's membership. The decision came after the ICC's board meeting that concluded in Birmingham on Tuesday. Cricket Russia was suspended in 2021 due to continued non-compliance since July 2019 with ICC's membership criteria.

According to ICC, Cricket Russia didn't have the appropriate status, structure, recognition, membership and competence to be recognized by the ICC as the primary governing body in the country.
