Ian Wright has backed Folarin Balogun to replicate the form he is currently showing whilst on loan in Ligue 1 at Arsenal next season.
After the north Londoners signed fellow centre-forward Gabriel Jesus last summer, Balogun was sent on loan to Reims, with the club keen to find somewhere that would consistently give the talented frontman game time this season. Since then, the Hale End academy graduate has netted 17 league goals, a tally that only Jonathan David and Kylian Mbappe have bettered in the French top-flight this term.
That kind of form hasn't gone unnoticed either. In fact, Gunners icon Wright has heaped praise on Balogun's potential, backing the young striker to continue that kind of form when he returns to the Emirates Stadium at the end of the current campaign.

Speaking on Wrighty’s House podcast, he said: “Hopefully he can come back to Arsenal at some stage and prove himself. He’s gone to another level in confidence.
“I think anywhere he goes in aspect of leagues; he’ll do what he is doing (in France) with the right service.
“It’s the way he’s taking those chances. His head space is at a different place right now. He knows he can do it right now.
“I guarantee you if he comes back, he probably picks up from what he’s doing in that league.”
