'I work in a nursery and there's 6 things parents do that I HATE - including shoe choice'

When you bundle your little one in the car - or set out their scooter ready for them to ride - and you make your way to nursery school, neither of you knows what to expect from the day.

For children, every day is a new adventure, especially when there's always something new to learn or play with, under the watchful eye of the nursery's staff.

But it turns out parents can help their youngster's busy day run smoothly if they follow a few simple rules, as their carers are sure to appreciate.

As one worker revealed in a post to TikTok, there's a long list of items she wishes parents avoided when dressing their mini-me - and it makes a lot of sense.

A nursery practitioner shared her top tips for parents (stock photo) (Getty Images)

In the video titled, "Things I HATE as a nursery practitioner", @ls.xoxo_ explained there are quite a few no-nos, including "pull-ups on babies".

The expert added that she dislikes "dungarees with no baby poppers" and "tight / lace-up shoes".

"Small bags that only fit one spare baby grow in," understandably, also made the list.

Another bugbear for the practitioner: parents who "keep forgetting" to restock their baby formula. She also advises against "clothes that CAN'T get dirty."

The video quickly captured the attention of parents - racking up thousands of likes and several comments.

One person replied: "Me too!! Or when they come in with 3 layers that have to be fully taken off to change their nappy."

Another added: "I love how we're all in agreeance! Another one is when they start potty training and pack one set of spare clothes and forget socks!"

A thankful parent revealed: "I keep seeing these and I've stopped sending my son to nursey in dungarees because I felt bad after seeing a TikTok," to which the creator said: "Hahah they're cute i must admit but without the poppers, nightmare to get on and off little wrigglers."

Meanwhile, someone else commented: "My toddler starts nursery tomorrow will take notes."

"Bless, good luck! pack spare clothes, little one will get messy!" the pro advised.
