Another day, another Olaplex review, and this time it's all about the £28 Olaplex No 6 'Bond Smoother'.
I'd describe this little 100ml bottle of hair product a miracle, because my hair has never looked better. I'm someone that bleaches my hair quite regularly, and I've gone from frequent scalp bleaches to full heads of highlights in the past 3 years, so my hair has taken a bashing.
As my fellow fake blondes will know, bleaching your hair can cause some serious damage, and I learnt the hard way. Last year I discovered a serious amount of breakage on the left hand side of my head, and it was quite frankly embarrassing.

It basically looked like I'd had my hair cut into some kind of weird mullet, when in fact, it was visual evidence of the bonds in my hair snapping off after intense bleaching. I knew I had to invest in something to repair my hair, and that's when I discovered the Olaplex No 6.
Olaplex No 6 aims to 'create smooth and healthy looking hair', it's a leave-in treatment which includes the brand's patented bonding active to help reduce the appearance of damage. It definitely did that, but it did take a lot of commitment.
I applied the Olaplex No 6 to my hair religiously after washing and left my hair to dry naturally with the treatment in my hair. I've really stopped trying to use heat since the breakage and the results are amazing.
Some Olaplex products haven't always impressed me, take the silver shampoo as an example, but the No 6 along with the No 3 has worked wonders on my hair. The dodgy mullet has since disappeared and been restored into thick, blonde luscious locks.
Granted, I know my hair still isn't perfect, but I truly believe the No 6 is worth the £28. The price may seem a little steep for the bottle, but a little really does go a long way.
The formula is thick, and all you need is a pea sized amount applied to the ends of your hair. I like to comb mine through to make sure the product has been spread evenly too.
Once my hair has dried naturally, I'm left with shiny looking hair that's really soft to touch. Soft hair and bleach are two words I never thought I'd use in the same sentence, and I have Olaplex to thank for that.
It's no wonder the product has hundreds of 5 star reviews over at LookFantastic. Olaplex No 6 is a product I'll never stop buying, that's for sure.
