Sometimes it feels like there's no escaping subscriptions. I seem to pay a monthly fee for the tools in my digital arsenal. I find myself nostalgic for the days of one-off charges with the occasional upgrade fee for some new refinements to a service.
Apple, Adobe, Microsoft, Google, they've all jumped on the subscription bandwagon. But just how many more can we afford? To be honest, I don’t think any of us are happy about this software evolution. I know I’m not.
