Designer handbags are often coupled with huge price tags, but there’s always a fashion retailer waiting in the wings to create an inspired design.
One brand has created a ‘dupe’ of a popular Jacquemus bag that will save shoppers more than £660. Fashion enthusiasts can spot a Jacquemus Le Chiquito Noeud Coiled handbag a mile away, with its recognisable spiralled strap.
However, at £675 each, they’re undeniably a luxury item, loved by celebrities and influencers alike. But, I Saw It First has created a ‘dupe’ of the designer accessory, so that shoppers can get the look for less. A LOT less.

Inspired by the Jacquemus bags taking Instagram by storm, the retailer’s Twisted Handle Crossbody Bag was originally £25, but has been dropped to £8, making a huge £667 saving compared to the premium purse.
Channelling Jacquemus’ French designs, it comes in a bright and bold tangerine shade that’s very similar to the orange that Jacquemus stocks on their website. But while the original design comes in more than 10 colours, I Saw It First just has the one, so you’re a bit limited in that department.
However, we did manage to find a green version on SportsDirect for £5, if that's more your colour.
The I Saw It First design is a small faux leather bag with magnetic clasp fastening and twisted design grab handle just like the designer handbag, though of course, Jacquemus uses real, smooth leather. The I Saw It First design also features an adjustable crossbody strap, while Jacquemus’ is long and removable, with an engraved lobster clip.
Just big enough for the essentials, the I Saw It First budget bag is able to fit in must-haves like your phone, ID, keys and lipgloss, and from afar, people may even think it’s a real Jacquemus bag.
As we approach the summer months, fashion lovers can expect to see even more accessories inspired by luxury purchases. Earlier this month, M&S shoppers spotted this M&S Collection Straw Striped Tote Bag that's £45, which appears to be a replica of the designer Loewe Basket Bag which is priced at £425, making the M&S version a whopping £380 cheaper.
Similarly, River Island’s white patent heart cross body bag comes in at £35, but shoppers who know their high-end designers might notice the resemblance to the Vivienne Westwood Louise heart crossbody bag, which comes with a hefty £310 price tag by comparison.
