'I'm going to be a bride at 60 - he kept me waiting 35 years but romance is still alive'

A 60-year-old woman is set to finally become a bride after her partner of 35 years decided to ask her to marry him - despite decades of insisting they would never tie the knot.

Andrea Murray was over the moon in February this year when her partner Graham Martin, 56, got down on one knee to pop the question, as he had repeatedly said since the start of their relationship in 1988 that he was not keen to marry.

The happy couple had agreed 28 years ago that they would be together for life, and although Graham bought an engagement ring at the time, he vowed they would never marry because he felt their commitment to each other was enough.
