I’m already gripped by 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple after seeing the trailer – here’s the one big question I hope the movie answers

Alfie Williams as Spike, wearing a blonde wig and red tracksuit.

• 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple just got its first trailer
• The movie is confirmed to arrive in theaters on January 16, 2026
• The trailer teases that we'll see much more from Jack O'Connell's baffling character who was first introduced in 28 Years Later

I'm very used to waiting years for sequels, so it's exciting that we'll be getting the sequel to 28 Years Later in just a few months.
