I'm A Celebrity winner 'revealed' during launch show as viewers convinced

I'm A Celebrity fans are convinced they already know who will win the ITV series.

Viewers claimed footballer Jill Scott was likely to win the series, as she smashed her first trial and offered support to her co-stars as they struggled with the task in hand.

The 2022 series started with a bang, hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, as the first 10 stars made their debut.

As the show got underway, the celebrities had to immediately face their first tasks and trials, including the usual skydive and the plank challenge.

Not everyone managed to complete their task, with Babatúndé Aléshé quitting within minutes.

Former England pro footballer Jill did what she could to encourage her co-star to do the trial, but in the end the comedian decided to withdraw.

Jill on the other hand managed to go all the way, and secured a star for camp.

This and her support for Babatúndé, as well as Charlene White, left many fans convinced Jill would secure a spot in the final, and go on to win.

Taking to Twitter, one convinced viewer tweeted: "Jill scott will win i’m a celeb i’ve already called it."

Another agreed: "The way Jill just charged down that ledge was absolutely iconic! If she doesn’t win I will sue."

A third viewer tweeted: "I already had my winner before it started but now im 110% sure she will win everyone else around."

The comments kept coming, with one reading: "Jill Scott will win," and another said: "Jill Scott will win #ImACeleb. Calling it now!"

It comes amid backlash over the signing of former Health Secretary Matt Hanock, who will join the series later on.

Amid backlash over Hancock's decision to take part, it's been reported he will earn £400,000 for the stint.

Good Morning Britain presenter and former I’m A Celebrity star Richard Madeley recently discussed Mr Hancock's decision to do the series, and whilst he stopped short at defending the Tory politician, he insisted it could actually be good for the MP.

Mr Hancock said his decision to go on the jungle show is to relate to viewers more and share important messages with all kinds of voters, whether they're engaged in politics or not.

Speaking on BBC's Have I Got News For You tonight, Richard said: "I suspect his reason simply is if he does it well, and with humour, he'll turn them round but I agree, they're [the British public] are not going to forget.

“If he actually attacks the challenges, agrees to do it and eats the scorpions and testicles, he'll get Brownie points from some of the viewers.”

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2022 continues Monday at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
