Ex- I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star Olivia Attwood has opened up about her dramatic exit from the ITV show. The former Love Islander, 31, chatted to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning on Monday, November 14. Last week, it was confirmed that Olivia had left the jungle after less than 24 hours.
Introducing the interview, Holly remarked: "I am so gutted for you," after showing Olivia a clip of her sky dive entrance on I'm A Celebrity. "God, what an anticlimax," she said, before explaining what prompted her to be pulled from the show.
Olivia continued: "I was pulled out on my first day in main camp for routine medical checks - which can be blood pressure, giving blood - so I had my blood taken and the results came back that my iron was low, I was showing that I was anaemic. Potassium was really low, sodium was really low, so basically all the markers you would look for were low so they consulted with a doctor outside of camp and they said I would need to come to A&E basically off the back of those readings." She added that, following the readings, she had to be taken to A&E. At the hospital, however, Olivia said that the picture was very different.

"They ran their own checks and they came back normal," she confirmed, stressing that she "felt healthy". She added: “Just before leaving the UK I’d had all those checks and everything was normal and the first thing I said to the camp doctor was ‘is that possible for things to change in such a short time?’ and he didn’t really have an answer, but that it was not normal and why we need to see what’s going on…”
Olivia said that upon finding out that nothing was wrong, she'd assumed she would be allowed to re-enter the jungle the following morning. She described how, "conversations went on through the night", but unfortunately, the decision was taken to remove her from the show. Since her exit, Olivia has admitted that she feels "frustrated" by the situation. "I’m grateful that I’m healthy but it makes it harder to accept," she added.
"I was looking forward to showing a different side to me," Olivia confessed, before saying that her appearance on the show had been "five years in the making". She also said that she'd have probably handled the arrival of Matt Hancock MP with "humour".
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues on Monday, November 14, at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub
