I'm a Celebrity's Boy George in public backlash as fans spot him eating treat in camp

I'm a Celebrity campmates are hungry. Stars are becoming less and treats are getting rarer so when Jelly Babies were brought into camp everyone tucked in, including Boy George. However, fans of the show have now criticised the Culture Club singer after seeing him nibbling the treat.

Campmates Charlene White, Mike Tindall and Seann Walsh smashed a cleaning challenge on the show on Tuesday, November 15, tackling a bombardment of confetti, paper and foam, which was being shot into a makeshift 'apartment'. Tasked with keeping the space "squeaky clean", the trio worked together to earn a tasty treat from Kev's Deals on Wheels challenge after the campmates correctly answered Kev's question.

As the Jelly Babies were handed out, contestants were shown eating their tiny portion of sugar. However, fans of ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here were quick to criticise Boy George for eating the sweets. Viewers pointed out that the treats are not vegan.

Since entering the jungle Boy George has been eating a different diet to the rest of his campmates., reported Chronicle Live, who said that although the pop star has publicly announced that he is vegetarian, he would be following a vegan diet in camp. Most Jelly Babies contain pork gelatine and therefore won't be suitable for those following a vegan or vegetarian diet.

One person wrote: "Boy George has been very vocal in public about the fact that he is a vegetarian. However, during his time in the jungle, he will be following a vegan diet (Jelly [Babies] aren't vegan) just saying."

Another added: "Is Boy George Vegan? If so, why is he eating Jelly Babies? They don’t contain Gelatine but they do contain beeswax. They are vegetarian friendly but not vegan and it says online he is vegan #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity". A third wrote: "Well Jelly Babies are not vegetarian or vegan friendly. Why is Boy George eating them? #ImACeleb."
