Boy George became the fourth contestant to leave the I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! camp on Tuesday, November 22 when he was greeted by his sister Siobhan, reunited with former campmates - and met some of the I'm a Celeb stars' nearest and dearest, including former Health Secretary Matt Hancock's girlfriend.
In his exit interview with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, Boy George, whose real name is George O'Dowd, said, as reported by the Manchester Evening News : "I am sort of ready, I’ve had an amazing time, I’ve done a lot of things I never thought I’d do."
He added: “I had to forget who I was for the whole time I was in here, I had to let it go. It was quite interesting to get over it. To just go ‘I’m in the jungle, I have no control’. I’m so looking forward to getting back in control. It wasn’t easy at all but after a while you kind of just float into it.

"I did have times when I dipped and I wanted to leave. But singing and music is the best medicine." But one person, in particular, was the 61-year-old singer's crux, as he told the Geordie presenters: "Having Matt in here was really challenging for a lot of reasons… By the way, in here he’s just a person, he mucked in, he was really really doing a lot to help everyone, so I can’t judge him on that."
And as the Culture Club singer rocked up to the JW Marriott Resort & Spa on Australia's Gold Coast, in a chauffeur driven car, as reported by The Mirror, he was met by an animated Gina Coladangelo, who appeared to share no hard feelings for the way the '80s pop icon spoke frankly of her partner and his actions as she looked starstruck with a big smile across her face and gave the Karma Chameleon singer a round of applause as he arrived.
During the show, Boy George had voiced his opinions openly about Matt's actions both inside and out of the camp - referring to him breaking his own guidlines while serving in government - and said he was close to quitting when the former Health Secretary made his entrance into camp alongside comedian Seann Walsh. He also called the west Suffolk MP "slimy" and said he "can't stand" him in a conversation with Walsh.
He said: "[I] can’t stand Matt. I have tried to like him and I’ve failed. I find him slimy, I find him slippery. I find him just… I made a joke about chocolate. He just looked at me like… I wanted to say, 'What are you looking at? Don’t you look at me like that.'"
When Boy George arrived at the hotel, alongside Gina's hearty welcome, his fellow evictees serenaded him with his famomus hit song before they showered him in hugs.
Comedian Babatúndé Aléshé became the fifth celebrity to be voted off the show when he followed in George's footsteps on Wednesday, November 23. You can read the full list of celebrities who have left camp so far here.
