Ant and Dec prompted some major questions from I'm A Celebrity viewers on Monday night when they spoke out on Olivia Attwood's shock exit from the show, citing 'medical reasons' at the catalyst for her departure.
For the first time in three years, I'm A Celebrity is back in Australia, following its big re-location to Wales in 2020 and 2021, due to Covid restrictions. A huge audience tuned into ITV on Sunday night to see hosts Ant and Dec in action and get a first look at this year's I'm A Celebrity line-up, which includes Boy George , Owen Warner and Mike Tindall.
Someone very much on the line-up and a real character in the first episode of the new series was Olivia, with bookies making her joint favourite to win by Monday morning. However, just hours later it was announced by I'm A Celeb bosses that she'd left the jungle, with a statement reading: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.

"Unfortunately the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be a further investigation. She has been absolutely brilliant and she'll be very much missed on the show."
Ant and Dec addressed Olivia's departure in the opening moments of episode two, with Dec saying: "Now, as you might have heard, unfortunately Olivia Attwood has left the jungle for medical reasons and won' be returning."
Explaining why she'd still feature in Monday's show, Ant clarified it was filmed before she 'had to leave,' adding: "We're very sad to see her go and we wish her well."
Ant and Dec's brief statement left fans at home asking one major question - what happened to Olivia Attwood?
The hosts' explanation came hours after a post, not from Olivia herself, appeared on her Instagram story. It read: "To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement, she's dreamed of doing I'm A Celeb for years, and was absolutely loving every second and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would).
"However, for reasons before her control her journey has been cut short. Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as always has. You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will be back on your screens in the New Year."
