I'm A Celebrity 'moves' to Channel 5 for two hour special ahead of new series

Viewers were left thinking their TV guides had made a mistake on Sunday night, when I'm A Celebrity appeared on Channel 5's primetime schedule, rather than the listings for ITV.

I'm A Celebrity has now been on our screens for 20 years, with Ant and Dec at the helm of it for all but one year, when Holly Willoughby stepped in for Ant and winners over the years including first ever King of the Jungle, Tony Blackburn and reigning champion Danny Miller. Other stars to triumph in the last two decades range from Kerry Katona to Vicky Pattison and Matt Willis to Gino D'Acampo.

This year's I'm A Celebrity line-up, while still to be made official by ITV, is all but confirmed and features big names like Boy George, Mike Tindall and Jill Scott. The new series will kick off on ITV on Sunday, November 6, but, with a week to go there was an early treat for I'm A Celebrity fans, when the show 'took over' Channel 5 for over two hours on Sunday, with the rival broadcaster seizing on fans' anticipation for its return.

The special was called I'm A Celebrity: All Time Funniest Moments and promised things like Gillian McKeith's famous faint during a live trial and Paul Burrell's OTT reactions to having to put his hand inside a cave for another challenge, as Ant and Dec looked on in hysterics. Funniest Moments also included appearances from former I'm A Celebrity campmates, like Vernon Kay, Linda Barker, Christopher Biggins and Toby Anstis, sharing their memories of some of the clips featured.

Other moments making the cut included Joey Essex learning how to tell the time, Janet Street-Porter's meltdown at a flatulent Brian Harvey, and Katie Price and Peter Andre getting together.

Other stars set to follow in their footsteps this year include Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver, Loose Women presenter Charlene White.
