I'm A Celebrity snaked it's way back onto our screens this evening (April 24) as fans indulged in a springtime spin-off, in which nine former campmates landed in South Africa. Ant and Dec returned to their usual hosting duties from a rope bridge as they welcomed viewers to the first "All Stars" series, with Carol Vorderman the first star to touch down in South Africa.
Clifton star Carol appeared to be in her element as she was dropped off at the top of a towering mountain, overlooking the South African wilderness. Greeted by three drinks, Carol awaited the arrival of boxer Amir Khan and Diversity's Jordan Banjo, before the trio were assigned the daunting task of completing the first challenge of the series.
In a challenge reminiscent of the skyscraper task celebrities are set in the winter edition of the show, Carol, Amir and Jordan had to throw themselves off a wooden plank whilst attached to a bungee cord. Whilst dangling many feet below their soon-to-be-campmates, they had to remember a code at the bottom of the fall to then unlock one of three stars.

Up first was Carol, 62. "I'm not sure about the drop," she said as she made her way out onto the plinth, commenting on the windy conditions. Jordan said to Amir, who had no idea who he was, "I feel scared for her."
Carol appeared to address the wilderness beneath her as she held her arms out and screamed: "Hello Africa! I love you!"
She then leapt off the plank and hurtled in the direction of the mountainside below, stopping to memorise the numbers on her way down. Fans could not get enough as they tuned in to watch Carol ace the first challenge, with one viewer hailing her as "camp".
Kat Brown tweeted: "Carol Vorderman spreading her arms, shouting “Africa, I love you!” and then walking off the cliff is so perfect, so camp I love it."
"'Hello Africa I love you' are you doing a concert to the animals or something carol x" Liam wrote.
"Carol Vorderman is one amazing woman!" Charlotte remarked.
After Carol's turn, Jordan and Amir took to the stage, with Jordan informing his fellow stars that he "literally couldn't breathe" whilst falling towards the ground. "Now you know how girls feel in Spanx," Carol quipped, as they won three meals for camp.
