Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly responded to a question about Olivia Attwood’s possible return on an Instagram Live
(Picture: PA Media)I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have commented on whether Olivia Attwood could make a surprise return to the jungle after her shock exit after just 24 hours.
The pair were asked about the prospect during an Instagram Live after Monday’s show on ITV.
One fan asked: “Can you bring Olivia back next year? We are missing a feisty female.”
To which the Geordie TV stars replied: “That’s not a bad idea. I’m going to put that to the powers that be at the end of this show and hopefully I’ll have an answer sometime tomorrow.”
Their remarks came after Attwood gave her first TV interview following her exit earlier on Monday.
Appearing on This Morning, co-host Phillip Schofield asked her whether she would consider going back next year.
The former Love Island said that while she would “love to,” logistics could prove a issue.
”The problem we had this year is, luckily, which I feel so grateful for, I’ve got my other shows, got the documentaries, which are all scheduled up until this point next year.
“We already moved everything once, so I’ve daren’t even approached that question yet because I think it would just be a logistical thing: ‘Would we be able to make it work?’
“I’d love to because I was absolutely loving it. I feel like it was cut short.”
The 31-year-old also disclosed the medical reasons which had forced her to quit.
Quashing speculation that she is pregnant, she explained that she had been found to be dangerously anaemic.
She said: “I was pulled out on my first day in main camp for routine medical checks — which can be blood pressure, giving blood — so I had my blood taken and the results came back that my iron was low, I was showing that I was anaemic.
“Potassium was really low, sodium was really low, so basically all the markers you would look for were low, so they consulted with a doctor outside of camp and they said I would need to come to A&E basically off the back of those readings. So I was taken to the nearest A&E department, admitted in there where they ran their own checks and their checks came back normal, so…”
Attwood added: “Just before leaving the UK, I’d had all those checks and everything was normal and the first thing I said to the camp doctor was ‘is that possible for things to change in such a short time?’ and he didn’t really have an answer, but that it was not normal and why we need to see what’s going on.”
