New Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez says he 'imagined' playing at Anfield for the club when the Reds faced Benfica in the Champions League last season.
Jurgen Klopp 's side faced the Portuguese outfit in the quarter-final stage of the competition last term before they went on to make the final. Liverpool won 6-4 on aggregate, courtesy of an impressive away performance handing them a two-goal cushion.
The home leg was far from straight forward, however, as Benfica managed a 3-3 draw on the night. Nunez scored his side's third goal of the night, but it wasn't enough to overcome Liverpool.

Beating the Merseyside club wasn't the only thing on the Uruguayan's mind that night, however, as he soaked in the Anfield atmosphere and admits he 'imagined' playing for the club.
"The fans at Anfield for that game were incredible," he told BT Sport. "It gave me goosebumps when I walked out.
"I imagined being there, playing for Liverpool."
Months later, Liverpool completed the transfer and Nunez signed a six-year deal with the Reds. He joined for an initial £64m, but could become the club's record transfer if all add-ons are paid to Benfica.
He's had a positive start to life at Liverpool and scored against Manchester City in the FA Community Shield victory last weekend. The 23-year-old then made a massive impact off the bench against Fulham, as he scored one and set up another in a 2-2 draw.
