Tadej Pogačar on stage 19 of the 2026 Tour de France.

Tadej Pogačar was more than three years away from being born the last time someone rode up Alpe d'Huez faster than him.

On stage 10 of the 1995 Tour de France, the controversial Marco Pantani flew up the Alpe d'Huez in 36:40. 31 years later, on stage 19 of the 2026 Tour, UAE Team Emirates-XRG's Pogačar rode the famous climb in a reported 35:26, 1:14 faster than Pantani's time.
