'I gave up Mormon lifestyle to join OnlyFans - now mums won't let kids in my house'

A mum-of-two who turned her back on her devout religious lifestyle to sell steamy content on OnlyFans says her family and old friends have cut her off.

Skyler, 39, had been part of a Mormon congregation for more than a decade but decided to begin a new life in 2018 after becoming disillusioned.

Mormons live by strict rules including no sex before marriage, no same-sex relationships, no booze, no smoking, no coffee and no gambling.

Since leaving the congregation, Skyler, from California, decided it was time to begin exploring her sexuality on her Instagram page @iamskylerx0, where she now has nearly 170,000 followers.

When a follower asked her for more explicit content he was willing to pay for, the model had the idea of setting up her OnlyFans page, which has now been running for two years.

But her success has come at a price and she claims many people have shut her out since learning about her venture.

"As a family, we have been shut out," Skyler said.

"I joined the Mormon church because at the time my husband was part of it, but we left having grown frustrated with the rigidness of the religion and having to give so much of our time and money to it.

"No vices were allowed. No drinking, no smoking."

She added she turned to eating high fat and sugar foods as booze was banned - which caused her to put on weight and had an affect on her sex life.

"It became a sexless marriage. I stopped looking good for my husband," she said. "We also had a tonne of arguments about giving ten per cent of our income to the church."

She claimed the way of life in the Mormon church was "delusional" and she knew she had to leave.

"Being a Mormon was taking things away from me as a wife and as a mum. It was time to do something for myself, my family and my marriage," Skyler said.

"As soon as we left, we smoked a big joint and had the best sex we had in years."

After setting up her OnlyFans page two years later, Skyler says she was outed to her family - who were still in the church - after a mum of one of her daughter's friends found it.

Skyler said: "She called me up and said my Instagram wasn't 'appropriate'. I felt slut-shamed. She then said she wouldn't be sending her daughter round to our house anymore.

"It broke my heart seeing a decision I made hurt my daughter so much.

"I've also been shunned by other mums when I go and watch my children play softball and once even cried in a hair salon after the hairdresser said she didn't agree with what I do.

"My husband's friend of 40 years also found out – he called up and started yelling down the phone. We've been totally exiled."

Skyler's husband, who supports her decision to run an OnlyFans page, said it was "ridiculous" that other mums won't let their kids come over.

"What we get up to as two consenting adults has no effect on the children," he said. "There are countless cheating spouses in this town and yet we are the villains.

"We are honest with our sexual desires and communicate with one another about what we want.

"Just because their wives aren't giving them any, blame shouldn't be placed at our doors."

Despite the backlash, Skyler doesn't regret her choice – and says OnlyFans has done wonders for her marriage.

Skyler added: "My husband has been my biggest supporter and without him being so encouraging and amazing this wouldn’t have worked out.

"After being a housewife for so many years I now feel sexy and liberated."
