Following their stint in the villa, many Love Island contestants often become influencers in the outside world, partnering with well-known, popular fashion brands like PrettyLittleThing and Boohoo. While I’m not typically one to rush to hit ‘add to basket’ on a collaborative line, one recent partnership saw me well and truly influenced.
The show’s 2018 winner, Dani Dyer, has teamed up with Girls on Film to launch an exclusive collection for high street store Matalan.
The 24-piece collection launched at the fashion retailer on September 7, and features a range of geometric prints, body hugging mesh dresses, chic blazers and relaxed ribbed tops to inject a bit of fun into your Autumn wardrobe.

My favourite piece from the collection was the Brown Geo Print Mini Dress , which certainly brings some 60s sass to the season. The entire range has a pretty retro vibe, updated with a modern twist for easy and comfortable wear.
Costing £35, the dress features a high neckline and puff sleeves, which don’t seem to be going out of style anytime soon. Mini dresses are usually a bit out of my comfort zone - I’m a firm midi dress gal - but this thigh skimming number has converted me.
The dress has some underbust detailing and shaping, with a fit and flare design to make it even more flattering. The fabric is stretchy, making it light and easy to wear with no restrictions, and the quality is reflected in the price.
I wore this dress to a comedy night, with a pair of vintage tan heels that formerly belonged to my mum, and a mini bag I bought secondhand on Depop for £7. In total, the whole outfit cost less than £50, and a great example of how you can pair sustainable pieces with new wardrobe items.
The dress comes in sizes six to 22, with a very fun and colourful print including lilac and a mustard tone, meaning a range of accessories can be matched to create different looks.
I also like that, while it should be tied at the back of the neck, you can also tie it at the front for a bit of a ‘Daphne from Scooby Doo’ vibe.
Commenting on the collection, TV personality and daughter of actor Danny Dyer, Dani, said: “I’m so excited to announce my first collection for Girls on Film! I had such fun working with the design team to put the collection together. I love the bright colours and '70s styles we’ve created. Everything is easy to wear and bang on trend for autumn.”
