Hypo dead: Emeli Sande's rapper ex stabbed to death as murder 'filmed on phones' at party

London-based rapper Hypo has died after he was stabbed at a party - with people reportedly filming the killing on their phones.

The rapper, who was in his 30s, had filmed himself arriving at the Jubilee Bank Holiday event in Redbridge before he was tragically killed.

Footage was shared on social media of paramedics battling to save his life, MyLondon has reported.

Meanwhile, police also believe others filmed Hypo being stabbed and have suggested horrific footage of the attack could have been caught on mobile phones.

Hypo, who is ex of songstress Emeli Sande, died just after midnight on June 3, at Ashton Town Playing Fields, in Chigwell Road, Woodford Green.

There have been no arrests made so far.

Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith said: "This man was attacked at a party and we know that a large number of people would have been in attendance. I would urge anyone who is yet to speak with us to come forward and let us know what you saw.

"It is possible that events leading up to the stabbing, and perhaps the murder itself, were captured on people’s phones. Please take a look and call us. It is vital that we establish what happened."

They have appealed for anyone with footage or information to come forward.
