Mohammed Jaber Hussain, who was reportedly living in Lowell, had moved to the US in 2021 to pursue a master’s degree in civil engineering in Connecticut. He later started working in Lowell and got married in Texas in August 2026.

Following his death, Hussain’s parents approached Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan for assistance.

Khan has appealed to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to intervene and ask the Indian Embassy in the US or the Consulate General of India in New York to coordinate with US authorities for the repatriation of Hussain’s remains.
