Husqvarna Trek Heads Down Under and Takes It's Adventure Motorcycles to The Outback

I rode a Husqvarna Norden 901 around the rim of a volcano once. It was when the bike was first introduced to the media, and we were flown to an island off the coast of Africa to test ride the new KTM 890 Adventure draped in sheep’s, er, Swedish clothing. The bike was, essentially, a white-and-blue 890 with softer suspension, a lower seat height, and a gigantic headlight. I loved it. Less of the R, more of the Adventure in the Austrian’s brand lineup.

So, when I saw that Husqvarna is offering fly-and-ride adventures to exotic locations with the Norden 901 being one of the bikes available to ride, my ears perked up.

The Husqvarna Trek is designed for owners of the 701 Enduro, 701 Enduro LR, Norden 901, and Norden 901 Expedition, offering an opportunity to ride in amazing places around the world, including New Zealand, Spain and for 2026, Australia.

According to a recent press release, “the Husqvarna Trek heads deep into South Australia’s spectacular Flinders Ranges for its most immersive experience yet.” The ride is designed for Husqvarna 701 Enduro and Norden 901 riders, and introduces an all-inclusive package with accommodation, meals, fuel drops and support being taken care of by the Husqvarna Trek team.

The Australian adventure is capped at 90 riders and will take place over the course of six days. So, if you’re a Norden owner, this is your chance to explore the Outback with your Big Headlight. Bookings haven’t opened just yet, but after looking at some of the previous Husqvarna Trek offerings, this looks to be a pretty amazing ride.

Pricing hasn’t been announced, but considering the last Husqvarna Trek, a three-day ride around New Zealand, was $955 per rider, I’d have to surmise that this six-day adventure in Australia will set Norden owners back north of $2000. But honestly, that’s not bad for six days in the Outback with food, fuel and a comfortable place to sleep included in the price.

The route chosen for the three-day ride in New Zealand late last year was suitable for first-time adventurers with just a little bit of off-road experience. There were also optional hard routes provided, too, keeping things spicy for riders who like to challenge themselves. I have to assume that this six-day trip in Australia will be similar, giving riders the option to tackle more difficult terrain if they’re feeling up for it.

In all, the Husqvarna Trek looks to be a great way for the brand to showcase the capabilities of the Norden 901 and 701 Enduro, while offering customers a chance to ride in relative comfort, with both medical and technical support in tow, as well as a 4WD vehicle and trailer, and sweep riders ready to help.
