Following news of Husqvarna’s departure from the SuperMotocross series, with a shift from an in-house factory effort to supporting independent teams for the 2027 season and onward, it’s nice to see the brand unveiling a fresh line of motocross machines.
Nine motorcycles that combine advanced technology with a Swedish-inspired design made their debut earlier this week, offering a complete range, from the TC 50 to the FC 450.
The competition-focused line-up includes both 2-stroke and 4-stroke options, built around white frames and “Finished with a fresh new look that underlines the brand’s progression," according to Husqvarna’s press release. But how do they really stack up compared to the competition, and should you be beating down your local dealership's door?
Allow me to answer that. Maybe.
The formerly chromium-molybdenum frames are now powder-coated in white, then outfitted with bodywork inspired by the brand’s Swedish roots. The same chassis and suspension technology found on the outgoing models is standard equipment on the 2027 editions, including the latest WP XACT forks and XACT PDS shock, and race-tested parts from Brembo, ProTaper, Twin Air, and ODI.
The 2-stroke models continue to utilize throttle body injection (TBI), while the 4-stroke models feature a quick-shifter, traction control, and launch control, as well as two engine maps that are selectable from the Multifunctional Map Select Switch.
The 2027 full-size motocross line-up from Husqvarna includes the 2-stroke TC 125, TC 250 and TC 300, along with the 4-stroke FC 250, FC 350 and FC 450. For the little ones, the Husqvarna 2027 minicycle line features the TC 50, TC 65 and TC 85, the latter of which comes in 17“/14“ and 19“/16“ wheel options.
So, while the brand may no longer be competing in the SuperMotocross Championship as a factory race team, that hasn’t stopped Husqvarna from continuing to build premium motocross machines for both casual and professional racers alike.
The 2027 models will be available at authorized dealerships starting this month, and range in price from $5,200 for the kids-spec TC 50 to a whopping $11,750 for a FC 450, with numerous models in between those two price points. All you have to do is decide which is right for you.
