Tragedy struck in Texas as Hurricane Beryl wreaked havoc, claiming the lives of at least four individuals. The destructive storm left a trail of devastation in its wake, with two fatalities reported in Houston and two in Harris County.
In Houston, Mayor John Whitmire confirmed the loss of two lives due to the storm. One victim tragically perished in a fire in southeast Houston, believed to be caused by lightning strikes. Additionally, a member of the Houston Police Department also lost their life in the storm's aftermath.
