The hunt is on for a missing National Lottery winner as £7.4million ticket remains unclaimed.
A life-changing jackpot prize of £7,440,150, has still to be claimed from a ticket bought in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.
Players are being urged to check their tickets for the chance to claim the huge prize.
But they are also being asked to keep their tickets safe for tonight’s estimated £170m EuroMillions jackpot draw.
The missing Lotto jackpot winner in Wolverhampton, matched all six main numbers in the Lotto draw on June 18, 2022.
The winning numbers on that date were 11, 14, 36, 39, 42, 59 and the Bonus Ball was 21.
Any lucky ticket-holder has until December 15 this year to make their claim.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery said: “We’re desperate to find Wolverhampton’s mystery Lotto jackpot ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings and we’re urging everyone to try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags, down the back of the sofa and anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.”
As the search for the missing multi millionaire ‘kicks off’ at Molineux, home of Premiership side Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, there is also a Premiership-sized EuroMillions jackpot estimated at £170 Million up for grabs in tonight’s draw.
As with all major prizes of £50,000 and over bought in retail around two weeks after the draw, if no valid claim has been received, the area in where the ticket was bought is released.
It is revealed by Camelot’s security team and is designed to encourage tickets to be checked but also to enable the ticket-holders to remain anonymous if they wish.
Players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket.
Andy added: “While we’re doing all we can to track down our missing Lotto jackpot winner, if you’re lucky enough to win tonight's massive EuroMillions jackpot make sure you keep your ticket safe.
"I’ve come across winners who’ve not just kept it in wallets or bags but in an Ant and Dec autobiography and one winner even hid it in her bra for safekeeping.
"Wherever you hide your National Lottery tickets, keep them safe.
“We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed, both that Wolverhampton’s lucky Lotto jackpot winner comes forward to claim their win and for UK EuroMillions players tonight.”
