Josie Gibson drew the short straw during the latest episode of This Morning as she was sent on a task no one should have to endure 'on a hangover'. The TV star was back on the ITV daytime show on Friday (October 14) but not in the show's studio with hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.
After a late night celebrating the popular show's win at the National Television Awards on Thursday evening, Josie was sent off to tackle the World’s Scariest Maze at London Bridge.
She was soon forced into getting started on live TV and it wasn't long before she was seen and heard screaming through the horror maze. "Get me out of here now," she cried. "Let’s go, let’s go!" she added before moving to another section. But it didn't get any easier for the mum-of-one.
"This is too much for a hangover! It’s too much for a hangover!" she admitted as she kept getting spooked. Josie continued screaming and crying out throughout the whole maze. "Don't leave me, don't leave me," she cried to the cameraman at one point.
The terrified presenter eventually made it to the end and while she may have been suffering, This Morning viewers saw the funny side. @sarahmufc93 tweeted: "Josie Gibson on This Morning is currently chaotic TV and it's amazing."
@lreynoldsx posted: "Oh Josie [crying laughing emojis] #ThisMorning I’m crying." @RachieBlossom shared: "#thisMorning Absolutely howling love Josie. I do feel she gets rough deal sometimes however! I’ve done things like that before and in the moment it’s actually really scary and afterwards your like 'well that was a overreaction.'"@TraylorHolmes laughed: "Well done Josie for not swearing #ThisMorning."
And some did feel like she may have ramped up the screams. @xLaurenBrooks commented: "Reckon Josie is overreacting there just abit #ThisMorning." @aine_333 shared: "I'm cringing at this I’m so embarrassed for josie worlds scariest maze indeed #ThisMorning." @leeleeCThomas wrote: "I love Josie but that seemed really tame #ThisMorning."
Kicking off Friday's This Morning, Alison and Dermot then appeared with some iconic dance moves and a shower of confetti to celebrate after reminding viewers of their winning moment last night After a lot of smiling and giggling, Alison said to those watching at home: "We are so very very grateful.
"You are officially watching Britain’s best daytime show everyone! Thank you so much for voting." Dermot then admitted to feeling a bit sensitive, adding: "I think I speak for all of us when I say, 'I don’t want to go to school today mum’, as he said he felt quite tired after the celebration."
